Wedding Part IV | The Ceremony

When I left off last time, we were hiding out in the library of the church, waiting for the ceremony to start.  One second I was hot gluing a flower back onto my shoe and waiting impatiently for it to be time for the ceremony, and the next it was time to go!

Finishing touch.
Finishing touch.

Unfortunately, not everyone realized the ceremony had started… Several guests headed down the aisle in between my two bridesmaids.  Oops.

The ceremony was short and sweet, just like we wanted.  It was great that we were able to have the pastor we wanted conduct the ceremony.  He had a grandchild due a few days after the wedding in another state, so we were worried that he would be called away right before the wedding.  Thankfully everything worked out just fine.

Look at that swagger...
Look at that swagger…

We did not do a receiving line as people left the ceremony.  We wanted people to quickly move to the reception place, so we could start our photos as soon as possible after the ceremony.

The sooner we started photos, the sooner we could get to the reception with all the food!  Things went as planned, and we were soon headed to the reception.

  1. Everything looked absolutely perfect!!! Years from now, you will look back on this wedding and realize how classic it was. Mine was that way and you can’t even tell what year we married. Congrats!!!
