Summer means ice cream. Peaches mean summertime.
So peach ice cream seems to be the perfect thing to make to celebrate the last of summer.
This recipe is not at all healthy, but it is simple and fresh tasting if nothing else.
2 c heavy whipping cream
5 ripe peaches, peeled
1/4 c sugar
Servings: 2 1/2 quarts ice cream
Puree the peaches and sugar. Reserve 1/4 c of the peach puree. Add the whipping cream to the rest of the peach puree and mix thoroughly. Chill for an hour. Pour into ice cream maker and follow the machine’s directions. For soft serve, enjoy immediately, for more firm ice cream, put in the freezer for a few hours.
