Who I Am

So who is writing all this anyway?

After completing a 6-year pharmacy program, I received my PharmD this past May!  Shortly afterwards, I completed my training for my new job, sat for my board exams, got married, and moved.  So, once things settle a bit, I plan on returning with updates on the major events of the last 2 or so months, and hopefully with some new recipes!  I love to cook, but right now I am just re-making old favourites to save on time.  I also spend a lot of time completing less expensive DIY projects to re-create furniture and decorate our apartment.

I also enjoy:

Reading—{I love old classics by Dickens, Austen, Trollope, Hardy, Eliot, and Bronte.  But I also read more current novels too.}

Reading

Old Movies—{I love black and white movies from the 40’s and 50’s.  I also have a special fondness for Charlie Chaplin movies, including the silent shorts.  It’s an acquired taste.}

Movies

Good Music—{My favourite genre tends to be pop punk and some indie.  Yeah, I know, it doesn’t really fit with my taste in books and movies.  I’m eclectic.}

Music

Animals—{If it weren’t for my husband, I am sure I would have been destined to be a crazy cat lady, and like it.}  Sadly, due to our cat allergies, and the necessity of having an indoor-only pet since we live in an apartment…we cannot have any felines.  However our adorable whippet mix, Isis, more than makes up for our lack of cat.

  1. Has your ‘about’ changed? I seem to remember reading something completely different… Or perhaps I’m just getting confused with another blog. Anyway, 2014 is almost upon us and the you’ll be done! Love your kitty! And love your choice in books, movies and music. You’re right, you surprised me with the music there! 🙂

    1. Mmm…it hasn’t changed much. I need to update a few minor things, but for an overview, this is pretty accurate still. Or maybe you read “About–>Why Dinner of Herbs?” before instead of “About–>Who I Am”?
      Yes, I am heading home for awhile soon, so I get to see more of my kitty, which I am pretty happy about. 🙂

    1. Haha, I am an extensive planner. And, I always make sure to take time for myself, even if I don’t feel like I have time for it. If I don’t, I end up falling apart and falling behind. Cooking/baking(and eating!) is a great stress-reliever.
